My relocation to Seyðisfjörður coincided with the peak of the tourism boom in Iceland. Originally from Montreal, Canada, I now live in a decommissioned fish factory in the East fjords. From 2016, I witnessed cruise ships gliding by my kitchen window almost every day in summer, the number of arrivals increasing each year. Photographs from Looking North are a collection of landscapes and encounters I had around Iceland during this time leading up to the 2020 global pandemic.
